Lancashire County Council has appointed PSA, a Lancashire-based firm, to its Mechanical and Electrical Design Consultancy Services framework.
PSA has secured a place on the new four-year framework following a competitive tendering process. As a result, the appointment covers Mechanical and Electrical Design Consultancy Services for Lancashire County Council. LCC is one of the largest local authorities in England and Wales.
The Council assessed PSA against quality, commercial and social value criteria. Subsequently, it was identified as one of six most economically advantageous tenderers. Crucially, the appointment builds on a longstanding relationship between PSA and the Council. With PSA having supported the authority’s building services requirements for the past 20 years.
Above all, a key priority under the framework will be supporting Lancashire County Council’s ongoing programme of new build and refurbishment projects. M&E design consultancy services will span low carbon heating systems, LED lighting upgrades, and building energy efficiency. Which therefore, will play a vital role in helping the Council meet its decarbonisation targets. This extends to formulating net zero carbon designs for new buildings, embedding energy efficiency from the outset.
