Rise Construction Framework fundraiser for Mr Motivator’s charity

Rise Construction Framework held a fundraising event on 18 June for Mr Motivator’s Bed Bank charity. PSA’s Kate Clarke, and Oliver Jones, joined colleagues from across the Rise Framework supply chain at Boxpark Liverpool. The event: a charity keep-fit session in aid of Bed Bank.

Above all, Bed Bank works to raise awareness and funds for bed poverty. In turn, it supports organisations on the ground helping to tackle the issue directly. At the heart, a simple aim: making sure every child has a bed of their own to sleep in. Current estimates suggest that around one million children in the UK don’t have one, a statistic that’s hard to hear.

In support, the PSA team pulled on their sports kits, joining others in bold colours, tutus and leg warmers. It might sound like a small thing, but the effort everyone put in said a lot about how everyone showed up to support this cause. Nobody held back, and it made for a genuinely good atmosphere on the day.

Who organised the event

Sara Lawton of Rise Construction Framework organised the event. Sara gives a huge amount of her time to support community projects across the region. Alongside this, Sara founded Thrive CIC, a careers hub in Liverpool City Region helping young people. For example, those facing social exclusion get an insight into meaningful employment.

Thrive operates out of a coffee shop that employs people who struggle to find work elsewhere. Furthermore, it gives young people real insight into the world of work, and connects them with local employers. Most importantly, Sara’s commitment to these causes is what makes this, and every other event she puts on, such a big success.

The impact

Between all of the Rise Construction Framework supply partners taking part, the session raised £25,000 for Bed Bank. All together, it’s a genuine collective effort, and one that will make a real difference to children who need it.

The team felt privileged to take part in this event, alongside colleagues who clearly care about the same things.
