CLIENT OBJECTIVES
Carlisle United Football Club aimed to revitalise their underutilised East Stand, hoping to boost both matchday and non-matchday revenue streams. They envisioned creating premium hospitality areas, including four new lounges and eight large viewing boxes with a capacity of 150, all built to first-class standards. The club also wanted to improve their football and Academy operations by freeing up space in the West Stand. Additionally, they hoped to create room for a future museum and enhance food options in existing bar areas like Hopper’s and Ross’s Bar.
OUR SOLUTION
Our team at PSA delivered a comprehensive Mechanical and Electrical design for the East Stand. We suggested the upgrade to the mains electricity supply and replacement of the main switch panel to increase capacity.
We designed:
- Heat recovery ventilation
- VRF heating and cooling
- New gas-fired boilers
- Water booster to improve hot and cold water provision
- Lighting & power
- Data distribution
- Security & CCTV systems.
Throughout the project, we kept a keen eye on on-site coordination, ensuring every element meshed seamlessly with the overall design.
THE OUTCOME
The revamped East Stand will enjoy new facilities that will significantly enhance the matchday experience for fans and corporate guests alike. The freed-up space in the West Stand will allow for improved football and Academy operations, setting the stage for Carlisle United’s continued growth and success both on and off the pitch.
