Pettit Singleton Associates (PSA) partnered with Sika Group, a global leader in construction materials, to design and oversee the mechanical and electrical systems for their new 3-storey, 1,100 m2 Research & Development Laboratory Facility. The project involved demolishing part of an adjacent building, constructing the new lab with specialised ventilation, weathering units, and spray booths, as well as incorporating offices, conference rooms, and staff amenities.

CLIENT OBJECTIVES
Sika’s primary goal for its new R&D facility was to create a modern, purpose-built space that would enhance its ability to research, develop, and test innovative construction and automotive products. It required a design that could accommodate a range of specialised laboratory spaces, while also providing comfortable and functional office, meeting, and support areas for its team.
