The challenge
The team at PSA took on the challenge and aced it. 24.3 miles with at least 10 of those being utter torture. There were blisters, chafing, sore feet, sore legs, sore knees, swollen ankles… you name it.
For some it was a doddle, but for others the challenge was real.
It wasn’t all bad though—the views, scenery, being outdoors, being part of the team, the camaraderie—an amazing experience.

Our mission
For us it’s our mission to support the next generation. We’ve identified that the success of our business, our industry and the construction industry as a whole is down to the youth that are coming through the ranks. There is a huge skills shortage, and we need to take action.
So we’re focusing on supporting young people in many different ways. One of those ways is to support the Youth Zone. This challenge was our way of leveraging the resources we have to do something good.
Our three peaks journey
It was still dark when we gathered outside The Old Hill Inn. We set off at 7am as the sun was rising, with the aim to complete the three peaks in 12 hours or hopefully less.

We were full of jubilant chatter as we climbed our first summit, then utter indifference as we reached the top. That was soon to change. The second was a little more challenging as we scrambled the last bit at the top, the pain starting to settle in.
Then came the long walk before the last. As we started the incline up the last peak, the legs quickly began to stiffen and the wind was picking up.
This time as we reached that final podium at the top, it was utter joy, knowing the worst was over and it was the slow decline down to the beginning that we needed to finish.
We achieved our aim as the last of the team entered the pub at just after 6pm.That pint at the end has never felt so good.

The impact
The highlight? Raising £2,300 and knowing the difference that will make to so many young people.
This is not the end of our fundraising journey for Vault Preston Youth Zone—our 2026 charity plan is being hatched as we speak.
