CLIENT OBJECTIVES
The NCIC Community Estates team which manages various sites across Cumbria such as the Carlisle Cancer Centre, required support to maintain safe systems of work for asbestos management. This required:
- Establishing robust Safe Systems of Work for asbestos identification and control
- Partnering with a team experienced in healthcare environments
- Maintaining high safety standards through expert guidance
OUR SOLUTION
We developed a comprehensive approach to developing and advising on the hospital’s standard operating procedures for asbestos management.
Our role encompasses assessing the Trust’s Authorising Person and conducting thorough audits of Safe Systems of Work and Permit to Work Systems.
We maintain meticulous documentation reviews and provide clear guidance on necessary improvements.
The team delivers annual audits and remain readily available for consultation, offering practical advice and responding promptly to technical queries.
We developed a comprehensive asbestos management program, including:
