Armstrong Watson approached the market with a brief to combine its dispersed satellite offices into one central location. It needed a modern, efficient workspace that would foster collaboration and drive cost savings. The project involved both refurbishing existing office space and constructing new areas, requiring complete replacement of mechanical and electrical systems. The client emphasised the importance of balancing quality with cost-effectiveness, seeking a solution that would meet their operational needs without exceeding their budget. They required a design and build contractor who could provide comprehensive mechanical and electrical services, from detailed technical design, on-site installation through to completion.
OUR SOLUTION
Alongside a local M&E Contractor, our team at PSA developed full mechanical and electrical service designs. We worked closely with the appointed contractor(s), providing detailed designs for installation. Our approach involved careful consideration of manufacturer specifications and methodologies, ensuring we struck the right balance between cost and delivery.
We collaborated closely with the contractor throughout the implementation phase, offering guidance and making adjustments as needed. This hands-on approach allowed us to maintain the integrity of our designs while adapting to on-site realities. Throughout the project, we maintained open communication with all stakeholders, ensuring alignment with the client’s vision and budget constraints.
THE OUTCOME
The project was a resounding success. Armstrong Watson now operates from a fully functional, modern office that meets their requirements. Our designs were implemented effectively, with the work completed within budget.
