ROLE DESCRIPTION

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Trainee Electrical Building Services Design Engineer at Pettit Singleton Associates in Preston. The role involves working with the senior engineer on client projects from concept to completion, being the technical assistant Electrical Engineer on the project, producing detailed technical designs, creating detailed reports and other designer and office duties. There is progression for this role for the right person to develop into an Intermediate Engineer and then up to Senior and Principal Engineer.

REQUIREMENTS

• Electrical Engineering design and Maintenance skills
• Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD)
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Willing to travel to work in client sites across the UK
• An open mind and a willingness to learn
• A genuine interest in Engineering, Building Services and the Built Environment

DESIRED BUT NOT ESSENTIAL

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• Experience within the Healthcare and Education sectors
• Experience working within a consultancy environment
• Experience using Revit, MagiCAD
