CLIENT OBJECTIVES
The owners of Orchard Cottage sought to transform this dilapidated, yet charming, Jacobean-era cottage into a holiday rental home. The aim was to preserve the property’s rich history and architectural features while upgrading the building services and finishes to create a high-quality, future-proof living space.
OUR SOLUTION
We worked closely with the owners to develop a comprehensive design that honoured the cottage’s heritage while meeting the modern lifestyle requirements. Key elements of our solution included:
- Full mechanical and electrical overhaul, including new heating, lighting, and power systems
- Upgrading the kitchen with high-end fixtures and appliances
- Integrating underfloor heating in the bathrooms
- Restoring original features like exposed beams and a large fireplace
