Refurbishment updates for mental health facility. The client identified the need to enhance one of its buildings at Bolton Royal Hospital in order to provide an uplifted environment for patients, staff and visitors. The refurbishment included the main entrance, reception area, staff accommodation, shower rooms, en-suite bedrooms, a new multi-faith prayer room, the main corridor, and a waste compound. PSA completed the full mechanical and electrical design, working alongside architects and contractors.

CLIENT OBJECTIVES
The client needed a refurbishment of various areas within one of the hospital buildings. This included public spaces like the main entrance and reception, as well as staff areas such as accommodation rooms alongside wards, shower facilities, and en-suite bedrooms. Additionally, they required a new multi-faith prayer room, upgrades to the main corridor linking to the trust’s area, and an external waste compound for clinical and general waste.
