As the lead consultant, PSA worked closely with the school to create an innovative outdoor learning space that was both functional and engaging for the pupils.

CLIENT OBJECTIVES

The Governors of St Patrick’s had a vision for a new outdoor classroom that would provide a sheltered, all-weather play area with engaging educational activities and elements of the natural environment. Situated on a sloping site, the space needed to accommodate a range of uses within a cohesive design.

 

OUR SOLUTION

Through extensive research and thoughtful design, PSA delivered an award-winning solution that transformed the outdoor space. Key features included:

  • Covered shelter area for all-weather use
  • Varied learning and play activities
  • Integrated storage for educational resources
  • Incorporation of natural landscape elements

Working closely with the school, PSA secured funding for the project and managed the procurement and construction process, delivering the facility on time and on budget.

 

THE OUTCOME

When the new outdoor classroom opened, the Reception pupils quickly embraced the engaging learning environment. The space has been a tremendous success, providing a wonderful setting for hands-on exploration and discovery. PSA is proud to have played a pivotal role in bringing this innovative concept to life for the school community.
